Paris, France - Day 2 - Moulin Rouge
The Moulin Rouge, today, is kind of joke. The Moulin Rouge is a little, crappy
theatre in the middle of a hustling boulevard. The great red windmill you may
imagine when hearing the Moulin Rouge is a lame, paper-mache looking trinket on the
roof of some dump. Although it's very well recognized as being one of the landmarks of
Paris, it's grandeur and magnificence is long gone.
The Moulin Rouge is located near Pigalle, which is known as the sex district, featuring
sex shops, peep shows, and cabarets such as the Moulin Rouge.
Now, what we've heard, is that the Moulin Rouge's cabaret show and dinner is extremely
pricey, and not very impressive. Nothing about the locale impressed us, so we decided to pass
on the show. I'm sure it was the right move.
