Paris, France - Day 2 - Montmartre
As I've mentioned elsewhere, I love this area of Paris. This picture here shows works from an artist that I purchased from on my last trip, which was a couple years prior. He called the one I purchased a geisha girl, although she looks more French than Japanese. But I liked the painting anyway and purchased it. Montmartre receives a lot of heat from guide books, etc, because it's become so touristy and bogus. Sure, the area is often jam-packed with tourists, but the vibe is lively, the art, though maybe routine, is still authentically Parisian, and the the setting is quite picturesque. I like it, and you should check it out if you can.
